https://www.eventbrite.com/e/edge-2017-tickets-35251518240?aff=es2 provides some additional top notch training for Royal Rangers leaders.
http://royalrangers.com/training/schedule/ for some of the greatest training a Royal Ranger leader should go to. Step outside of your comfort zone and go.
Parents, It's a new chartering period for Royal Rangers. Because we had a chartered outpost several adults (leaders, spouses, and other adults) were able to participate in some of the best training in the world. We hosted a Ranger Basics & Ranger Essentials at the church (as well as some of the best cooking for the class breakfast/lunch), attended World Class Outpost, 2 leaders attended National Elementary Education Conference, I attended National Rangers Ministry Camp, and 3 boys went to MS District Merit Camp. All of these participated with a 15% discount on the total registration fee and if the registration was early, one could see additional benefits with a reduced cost. Several parents purchased uniforms for their sons or leaders purchased for boys that did not have a way; also with a 15% discount on the uniform costs. The charter fee is $25 for adult leaders and $16 for each boy. The boys that went to MS District Merit Camp got their charter fee back with the discounted registration (a significant savings)! I don't know the current cost of participation in organized sports such as football, baseball, basketball, or soccer, but I do recall it was anywhere from $50 to $100 per son just for sign ups and uniforms depending on what they played; not to mention the additional gear that we had to purchase. The two years played in sports has long since been forgotten, but the memories, experiences, and benefits of chartering over the past 8 years has afforded my 2 sons and some other boys a lifetime of experience they can only hope to get out of sports. One is helping in Royal Rangers and the other has been on several missions trips with Royal Rangers and grace of God as being cited as the reason he was able to do the things he was able to accomplish on those trips. Am I playing on your sympathy or trying to guilt you into chartering your son this year; not intentionally if you feel that way. I just believe in Royal Rangers as I am a product of it. I chartered as a boy in the early 1980's and have done so as a leader for several years. I see the benefit of chartering beyond the dollars. I have experienced the Power of the Holy Ghost in my life and seen it manifested in the lives of boys that have gone to training camps in MO and MS, as well as frontier related camping and activities in TX. What will $16 buy you over the course of the next year? Invested in lunch at the local fast food restaurant or stops at the donut shop, probably an expanded waist line, BUT invested in the life of a boy who will benefit from experiences he may never get to see except through Royal Rangers...my choice is investing in the future leaders of America.
Parents, it's time to start the charter process. Get with one of the leaders this month to get more information on the benefits of chartering. Boys charter is $16 and leaders is $25. More to come.
I apologize for the short notice, but I have to cancel and reschedule the Ranger Safety and first aid / CPR training that was to take place June 6. I will let you know when the next time is available to get this done.

Sorry folks...we are going to have to reschedule the pinewood derby race... We have not had anyone purchase any cars to work on and we have not been able to secure the race track from our resource. We are working to either purchase or build a track. Until that time we will not race on the April 25th date and will let you know when the new race date will be. Thanks and God bless. th
